The real asset of any advanced nation is its people, especially the educated ones, and the prosperity and success of the people are measured by the standard of their education. (Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan).

In this spirit, and with the perspective we have gained as an active investor in the region's educational system, Capital Investment Fund Abu Dhabi has designated education a pillar of our corporate social responsibility program.

In line with the charitable spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan and a desire to support the communities it operates in, Capital Investment Fund Abu Dhabi today announced that it will fully sponsor the education of 100 underprivileged Lebanese and Palestinian children at kindergartens of the Association for the Development of Palestinian Camps or Inaash, a Lebanese non-governmental cultural and social association.

The sponsorship of these children, who are between the ages of 3-5, for the academic year 2012-2013 is part of the firm's corporate social responsibility program.

Mrs. Leila Kawar Ghareeb, President Inaash, said: "We deeply appreciate the support we have received from private organisations like Capital Investment Fund Abu Dhabi, who are actively supporting humanitarian causes in the region, and are keen to provide a better future to our future generations. We hope to continue educating these young minds for many years to come, in order to help them stand on their own feet and lead happy and prosperous lives."

At present, Inaash supports the education of 250 children from underprivileged sections of society who cannot afford the expenses of obtaining education in Lebanon.

Mohamed Faisal Awad Ibrahim, CEO of Capital Investment Fund Abu Dhabi, said: "Capital Investment Fund Abu Dhabi is delighted to be supporting Inaash through funding the education of these children. Commenting on the firm's various social initiatives in the Middle East, he added: "We value the communities in which we operate, and are committed to being a good corporate citizen. This is precisely why we continue to sponsor critical community efforts like the Inaash education program."

The latest sponsorship initiative continues a tradition at Capital Investment Fund Abu Dhabi, which also sponsored the education of 100 underprivileged Palestinian and Lebanese children at Inaash kindergartens for the academic year 2011-2012.

Capital Investment Fund Abu Dhabi Sponsors the Emirates Foundation Public Schools' Curriculum Innovation Grant Project

Capital Investment Fund Abu Dhabi is sponsoring the third edition of the Public Schools' Curriculum Innovation Grant Project launched by the Emirates Foundation for Philanthropy, funding a range of activities at eight schools across the UAE during the 2011-2012 academic year. The project challenges educators to design innovative methods of delivering public school curricula - encouraging new and reflective teaching methods while equipping young Emiratis with a desire to learn throughout life. Some of the funded projects offer an integrated learning approach by involving parents and teachers, thus strengthening the partnership between school and home.

Mohamed Faisal Awad Ibrahim, CEO of Capital Investment Fund Abu Dhabi, said: "The best investment we can make today is in improving the quality of the education of our youth and in equipping them with the best tools and skillsets to help prepare for a bright future. The Emirates Foundation (www.emiratesfoundation.ae) was launched on April 12, 2005 by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. It offers financial and technical support to projects that focus on the area of youth development.
